On the 16th June 2007, Windlesham presented ‘elements…’ . As the most ambitious and advanced show put on by a UK school, it broke new ground in outdoor multimedia entertainment and put Windlesham firmly at the forefront of innovative children’s performances.

So many parts of the ‘elements..’ day were truly extraordinary. One thousand children performing on rock concert stages, the crew of The International Space Station performing 5 times throughout the day from orbit, the world renowned RAF Falcons parachute display team jumping during the final concert (the first time they had jumped in a live concert and in time with the music!), the first reported live outdoor show in 7.1 surround sound anywhere in the world and so much more besides. 8000 people from the local community came to witness this incredible day.

The scale of this ‘school production’ defies belief – the Civil Aviation Authority arranged for a 60 mile exclusion zone for aircraft to be put in place necessitating the diversion of flight paths heading for nearby airports, as the main laser used ‘filled’ the sky (in a previous show at Windlesham, the laser was reported by aircraft flying over Paris). £35,000 was raised for The Chestnut Tree Children’s Hospice and the children from the hospice joined others in the afternoon for an especially poignant performance in one of the series of shows given by the children.
